Pet & Dog Friendly

Southern Vemont has hotels, resorts that welcome your dog friends

Vermont is a pet friendly place, and so are its hotels and motels. At many lodgings in Southern VT, which includes the towns of Mount Snow, Bennington, Brattleboro, and Manchester, visitors are welcome to bring the family dog, and some hotels and inns offer dog friendly amenities like dog food and beds and treats and plenty of outdoor green space for daily walks and outdoor games of fetch.

Outdoor activities, spacious and comfortable quarters make these homes a must for dog-lovers

707 Kipling Road Dummerston, VT 05301 802-254-6868
At some of the fully restored historic properties owned by Landmark Trust USA, you can walk out of your front door to hike or, in the winter, snowshoe or ski. You know who will love that? Your dog, of course! Couples (and their pooches – up to two of them) will love the cozy, one-bedroom 1915 Sugarhouse, a charming cabin at the edge of a stand of maple trees still used for maple sugaring in the spring. For larger groups, there’s the 1802 Amos Brown House, which sleeps six and also allows for two dogs. With 30 private acres, you can walk right out the front door to go hiking, biking, bird-watching, skiing, snowshoeing, or snowmobiling. Six miles away, you can go canoeing, swimming, or fishing at the Harriman Reservoir.
