The inn also offers an elopement package that includes lodging, a garden ceremony, bouquets and boutonnieres, wine and truffles in your room and dinner in the restaurant. Or, for larger destination weddings, you can reserve the entire 20-room inn.

Can you have a magical Vermont wedding that is also affordable? At Scott Farm, one of the unique properties of The Landmark Trust USA, the answer is a resounding yes. Larger gatherings are held in the Apple Barn or Horse Barn, with farm and mountain vistas, and smaller ones in the charming Dutton Farmhouse overlooking the apple orchard. (Booking the farmhouse also includes a two-night stay for up to eight guests.) A list of preferred vendors for photographers, food, music, and other services can be provided, and because only 10 weddings a year are hosted at the 571-acre farm, each one is special. Guests can also stay on the farm, from Rudyard Kipling's Naulakha to the cozy Sugarhouse, which also makes a perfect honeymoon spot!
